Information on periodic comets and 93 selected bright and/or large minor planets is presented in Section G of The Astronomical Almanac. For the asteroids, osculating orbital elements, opposition dates and magnitudes at opposition are given. Using a selected group of larger minor planets, daily ephemerides around the opposition date are tabulated. For the periodic comets, osculating elements from the Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory are printed.
